The Pokemon Company and developer Game Freak have revealed new information, videos and images for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, introducing Books, Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles, Tera Raid Battle Events, Pokemon HOME integration, rewards when has save data from previous Pokemon games and software update version 1.0.1.

The Scarlet Book and the Violet Book
The Scarlet Book, which will appear in Pokemon Scarlet, and the Violet Book, which will appear in Pokemon Violet, are records from an expedition, and they were written a long time ago. The expedition is said to have passed through an unexplored area of Paldea, but whether the book's claims are true remains unclear. It seems Arven always carries a copy of one of the books with him.
Photos and sketches of unidentified creatures fill the pages of Scarlet Book and Violet Book. Although there have been similar creatures seen in recent years, such reports are rare and the specifics of the organism's biology remain a mystery.
Monster called Great Tusk
The book describes how this savage monster attacked the expedition team with its large body and tusks, injuring one of the adventurers.
Monsters called Iron Treads
It is said that when this monster curled its body and rolled to attack, it left a trail that went deep into the ground, as if it had burned the ground.
Note: Great Tusk will be described in the Scarlet Book, and Iron Treads will be described in the Violet Book.

In Tera Raid Battle, you will join a team of 4 to try to defeat a powerful Tera Pokemon before time runs out. Tera Raid Battle events where you'll be able to battle specific Pokemon or encounter Pokemon with specific Tera Types are in development and will make their debut once the game is released.
Capture an unrivaled Charizard in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles!
During your adventures in the Paldea region, you may find black crystals that look different from the ones you normally approach to participate in Tera Raid Battle. The Pokemon you will face these black Tera Raid crystals are much more powerful than those that appear in regular Tera Raid crystals and defeating them can bring you even more exciting rewards. taste better than usual!
Charizard with Mightiest Mark will spawn in black Tera Raid crystals for two periods: first December 1 to 4, 2022, and then December 15 to 18, 2022.
Charizard is not normally encountered in Paldea, and the Charizard that appears during this event has Dragon as its Tera Type, making it a formidable foe and powerful ally! It will use devastating moves in battle, so defeating it on its own will be extremely difficult. Team up with family, friends and Trainers around the world to grow together!

Note: This Charizard will have the same marks, abilities, and moves whenever it is captured during the event.
This particular Charizard can only be captured once per save data.
You will still be able to participate in Tera Raid Battles with black crystals and receive rewards even after you have captured Charizard with the Mightiest Mark.
Charizard may reappear in other events or may meet again in different ways in the future.
You will be able to participate in Tera Raid battles at the black crystals after completing a number of post-game events. However, players who have not completed these events can still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by participating in another Trainer's Raid Battle, whether they are in a multiplayer party or using a Link Code .

The Tera Raid Battle event gives you a chance to encounter certain Pokemon or Tera Types!
Following the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, Tera Raid Battle events will allow you to reach specific Pokemon or encounter Pokemon with certain Tera Types more often. The Tera Raid crystals associated with these events may seem ordinary at first glance, but they are covered with a mysterious aura.

The first Tera Raid Battle event — Eevee Spotlight — will run from Thursday, November 24 to Sunday, November 27, 2022.

The latest Battle Stadium stats from Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will soon be viewable in the mobile version of Pokemon HOME! From the app you will be able to view information about Trainer rank, frequently used Pokemon, Online Competitions and more. You'll also be able to see which moves, Skills, and holdings are being used the most in battles. This update to Pokemon HOME's Battle Data feature — slated for early 2023 — will let you see useful battle data and enjoy Pokemon battles in these titles even more.
Compatibility between Pokemon Scarlet, Pokemon Violet, and Pokemon HOME is slated for Spring 2023. Once you've linked either title to Pokemon HOME, you'll be able to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet to Pokemon HOME and bring selected Pokemon from past games to the Paldea region. Update and play online
Updates are planned for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet after release. The first of these updates is version 1.0.1, which will be available on the game's release date. Downloading the version 1.0.1 update will allow you to play online, so be sure to update your game before you start playing!

To download updates or play online, your user profile will need to be linked to your Nintendo Account, and you must be able to connect your Nintendo Switch to the internet.
