Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have announced Fairy Tail 2 for Sony PlayStation 5, Sony PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). The game will release in winter 2024.

Fairy Tail 2 is a new RPG game based on the popular magical combat fantasy game Fairy Tail, which has sold more than 72 million copies worldwide, with the manga and anime being loved globally.

The game's sequel based on Fairy Tail 1, released in July 2020, depicts the "Alvarez Empire Arc", the culmination of the original work.
