Square Enix has announced a remake of Romancing SaGa 2 titled Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven for Sony PlayStation 5, Sony PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). The game will launch on October 24, 2024 globally for $49.99.

Story and Setting
It is the Imperial year 1000. Frightful monsters are rampaging across the land and various nations struggle to withstand both this invasion and their own internal conflicts. People waited in hope of the fulfillment of an ancient legend that foretold the arrival of seven great heroes who would save their devastated kingdom.
Then, one fateful day, Avalon, the capital of the Varennes Empire, was suddenly and brutally attacked. The invader is none other than Kzinssie, one of the seven legendary heroes. The people were crushed underfoot and Prince Victor, the brave and noble heir to the throne, was killed.
The citizens of the empire despaired when they realized that the legends were false, but Victor's father, Emperor Leon, swore revenge on the Seven and their mighty power.
