Publisher Konami and developer Bloober Team announced that Silent Hill 2 Remake will launch on Sony PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on October 8, 2024 for $69.99. It's available for pre-order now and includes a Robbie the Rabbit mask (exclusive to PlayStation 5) and a Mira the Dog mask for protagonist James.

In addition to the standard edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available for $79.99 and includes an art book, soundtrack, and a Pyramid Head (pizza box) mask for James. Pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition will include 48 hours of Early Access to the game on October 6, 2024.

Here's an overview of the game, via Konami:

After receiving a letter from his deceased wife, James travels to the place where they shared many memories, hoping to see her again: Silent Hill. There, by the lake, he finds a woman uncanny like her…

“My name… is Maria,” the woman smiled. Her face, her voice… She was like a wife.

Experience master-class in the psychological survival horror genre — arguably the best in the series — on the latest hardware with chillingly immersive visuals and sound.
