The Pokemon Company and Game Freak have announced new trailers, information, and images for Pokemon Legends: Arceus that showcase the game's region, story, Pokemon, and more.
Here are the latest details, via The Pokemon Company:
Pokemon Legends: Arceus takes Trainers on an adventure through the Sinnoh region in the past — before it was called Sinnoh. Years ago, this land was called the Hisui region, and it was rare for humans and Pokemon to coexist in harmony.
New Pokemon and gameplay details revealed:
As a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team, players will visit Jubilife Village, a bustling settlement that serves as a base of operations. After receiving a quest or request, Trainers will depart from the village to research one of the different areas of the Hisui region. After completing the survey, the Trainers returned to Jubilife Village to prepare for their next mission. Whenever Trainers leave Jubilife Village to embark on an excursion, their first stop will be one of the base camps that act as outposts for their work. These base camps are more than just a starting point — Trainers can stop by to rest on an excursion, let their group of Pokemon recover, or use the base camp workbench to craft items.
As Trainers progress to completing the Pokedex and rising in rank as members of the Galaxy Team, they will meet interesting characters and encounter unique Pokemon that inhabit the Hisui region.

Basculins in the Hisui region evolve into Basculegion when they are possessed by the spirits of other Basculins from their school, pokemon that can't stand the harsh journey upstream. Their propulsion is enhanced by the spirits that possess them, allowing them to swim without fatigue.
