The Pokemon Company has released new information, videos and photos introducing Gigantamax Pikachu, Charizard, Eevee, Meowth and Butterfree in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

Details are as follows:

Gigantamax Pokemon

Gigantamax Pikachu

  • Type: Electric
  • Height: 68’11″+
  • Weight: ???
  • Ability: Static

The electricity generated in the pockets in Pikachu's cheek is stored in the tail. In battle, it will attack the opponent with its tail and send an electric current through them as big as the thunder. Gigantamax Pikachu becomes so powerful that it can produce enough electricity as a power plant. However, using this power source to help provide power seems difficult because Pikachu can only sustain Gigantamaxe for a short time. The electrical attacks used by Gigantamax Pikachu will change into G-Max Volt Crash, which will not only damage but also paralyze all opponents.

Trainers have played and recorded Pokemon games: Let’s Go, Pikachu! on the Nintendo Switch system will be able to receive a special Pikachu in Gigantamax form in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

Gigantamax Charizard

  • Type: Fire/Flying
  • Height: 91’10″+
  • Weight: ???
  • Ability: Blaze

The fire inside Charizard's body became stronger, and now fire gushed out of the mouth and horns not just the tail. The power of the fire increases when Gigantamax Charizard gets angry. The Charizard's flames are enhanced with Gigantamax power and form wings on its back. These wings are hotter than magma and Charizard can shoot them out to burn its opponents. The fire-style attacks used by Gigantamax Charizard will change into G-Max Wildfire. G-Max Wildfire will not only damage the opponent when attacking but will also continue to deal damage for four turns for any non-Fire Pokemon.

Gigantamax Eevee

  • Type: Normal
  • Height: 59’1″+
  • Weight: ???
  • Ability: Run Away / Adaptability

The fur around Eevee's neck has become fluffy and luxurious thanks to the power of Gigantamax. Any opponent caught in this coat becomes out of control with Eevee and loses his will to fight. Gigantamaxing makes Eevee more aggressive, and it will try to confront any opponent. The attacks commonly used by Gigantamax Eevee will change to G-Max Cuddle. G-Max Cuddle not only deals damage when struck, but also for opponents of the opposite sex will lose control.

Trainers have played and recorded Pokemon games: Let’s Go, Eevee! on the Nintendo Switch system will be able to receive a special Eevee in Gigantamax form in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

Gigantamax Meowth

  • Type: Normal
  • Height: 108’3″+
  • Weight: ???
  • Ability: Pickup/Technician

Gigantamaxing led Meowth's body to an incredible length, and the coin on its head also became enormous. The giant coin can emit a stream of Gigantamax energy, filling the surrounding area with a strong golden light. The attacks that are commonly used by Gigantamax Meowth will change to G-Max Gold Rush. G-Max Gold Rush damages opponents and also scatters coins throughout the area, giving Trainers bonus money after the battle.

Gigantamax Butterfree

  • Type: Bug/Flying
  • Height: 55’9″+
  • Weight: ???
  • Ability: Compound Eyes

Butterfree's most noteworthy feature is its blinding wings, which have grown to enormous proportions. The light of Gigantamax Butterfree wings can cause paralysis, poisoning or sleep on the opponent. These abilities are Butterfree's most effective weapons. Bug-type attacks used by Gigantamax Butterfree will change to G-Max Befuddle. G-Max Befuddle not only does damage, it will also scatter around opponents and cause them to suffer paralysis, poisoning or sleep.
