The Pokemon Company has released new information, videos and photos introducing Pokemon Galarian Ponyta in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.
Galarian Ponyta will only appear in Pokemon Shield (but can be traded with Pokemon Sword).

Galarian Ponyta is found in a certain forest of the Galar region. This Pokemon has been exposed to the forest's living energy for generations, and this is why their appearance is so unique in this area.
Galarian Ponyta can absorb the life energy of the surrounding air and store it in the mane. Ponyta's mane will become more colorful, and even emit sparkle, if there is more energy around.
Galarian Ponyta's ability, Pastel Veil, is a new ability introduced in game. This ability prevents Pokemon and their allies from being poisoned! It can even cure allies when this Pokemon enters the battlefield!
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 15.
