Nintendo has announced new information about Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield Expansion Pass, including the addition of Gigantamax evolution forms to Rillaboom, Cinderace and Inteleon.

Gigantamax Discoveries
In The Isle of Armor (Expansion Pass part one), Trainers will be able to help some Pokemon accompany them to gain Gigantamax skill. This led to the discovery of Gigantamax forms for Rillaboom, Cinderace and Inteleon. The G-Max Moves that these Gigantamax Pokemon can perform will have tremendous power, delivering an attack that is even bigger than the regular Max Moves or G-Max Moves. These G-Max Moves will nullify the opponent's Ability effects!
Gigantamax Rillaboom
Grass-type attacks used by Gigantamax Rillaboom will change to G-Max Drum Solo. With this attack, Rillaboom created beats with sticks in his hand and manipulated the roots with spectacular drumming skills. It will then cause these roots to erupt from below the opponent, dealing massive damage.
Gigantamax Cinderace
Fire-based attacks used by Gigantamax Cinderace will change to G-Max Fireball. With this powerful move, Cinderace will use powerful legs to fire a giant fireball at the opponent, causing an explosion when attacking.
Gigantamax Inteleon
The Water System attacks used by Gigantamax Inteleon will change to G-Max Hydrosnipe. With this attack, Inteleon will aim from above, collecting water in hand before firing at the opponent. Water is launched with great force and speed that causes a huge explosion when it hits and creates greater damage than other Max Moves.
New League Card Designs and Early-Purchase Bonus
Galar Area Trainers create League Cards in the game to introduce themselves. As Trainers conduct their adventures in The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra, backgrounds, effects and frames that have previously appeared in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield will be added. Players can also change their League Cards using Rotomi's Card Maker feature and use these new designs, costumes and hairstyles to create unique League Cards.
Trainers who bought Pokemon Sword Expansion Pass or Pokemon Shield Expansion Pass before launching the Isle of Armor expansion (or players who pre-ordered) will be able to receive Leon's hat and pants as a reward. Players will be able to receive these items after releasing The Isle of Armor (at the end of June 2020) until 7:59 am PDT on Monday, August 31, 2020.
Pokemon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokemon Shield Expansion Pass, new downloadable content for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield games, will include the contents of "The Isle of Armor" and The Crown Tundra as separate adventures. allows players to meet new characters, catch newly discovered Pokemon and explore new areas in the Galar. The Isle of Armor is expected to be released by the end of June 2020, and The Crown Tundra is expected to be released in the fall of 2020.
