Cover Art Reveal
The new Legendary Pokemon appearing in these titles, Koraidon and Miraidon, are featured on each cover of the retail version of the game, and the game's logo is embellished with paper stamp-like designs using Legendary Pokemon. This is a texture. The packs of these games have a similar look to the covers of old books and evoke the feeling that a new story is ahead.
Multiplayer
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet is the first open world RPG in the Pokemon series. Along with staples such as trading and battling Pokemon, players will be able to explore different locations of the region in these games with up to 4 players.
New Characters
Professor Sada and Professor Turo
For the first time, one of two different professors will appear in the game depending on which version the player chooses.
In Pokemon Scarlet, players will meet Professor Sada.
In Pokemon Violet, players will meet Professor Turo. Each professor is doing research on the legend passed down in the area.
Nemona
Nemona has a sunny, energetic personality and is very passionate about Pokemon battles. Be an experienced Pokemon Trainer and act as a trusted friend and guide for players on their adventures.
New Pokemon
In his journey, the player will encounter many never-before-seen Pokemon, and among them are the following 3 Pokemon that Nemona uses on her team.
Pawmi
- Category: Mouse Pokemon
- Type: Electric
- Height: 1′
- Weight: 5.5 lbs.
- Ability: Static / Natural Cure
In addition to the electrical pouches on her cheeks, Pawmi also has discharge organs on her front legs. It generates electricity by rubbing its cheeks, then startles its opponents by touching them with the pads on its front wings.
Its fur covering its body provides good insulation, resists the cold, and serves the purpose of storing electricity. When feeling unwell, this cautious Pokemon will begin to rub its cheeks, preparing to deliver an electric shock.
Lechonk
- Category: Hog Pokemon
- Type: Normal
- Height: 1’8″
- Weight: 22.5 lbs.
- Ability: Aroma Veil / Gluttony
Lechonk uses its sense of smell to find and eat only the most fragrant wild grasses and the most nutrient-dense berries. Due to its eating habits, it gave off an herb-like aroma that bug-type Pokemon don't like. If attacked and startled by an opponent, it will rush forward in a panic.
It looks fat at first glance, but in reality, a Pokemon's body is mostly muscle built by constantly walking around in search of food.
Smoliv
- Category: Olive Pokemon
- Type: Grass/Normal
- Height: 1′
- Weight: 14.3 lbs.
- Ability: Early Bird
The oil that flows from its tip has a very strong bitter taste, and it is not suitable for consumption.
When startled or attacked, Smoliv will shoot this amount of oil out, slowing the opponent. It will then seize that moment to flee.
In the fruit on its head, Smoliv stores the oil made from the nutrients it gathers through photosynthesis. As a result it can go for a week without eating. It prefers a dry and sunny climate, and it seems to spend all day sunbathing.
New Details about First Partner Pokemon
New details about Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly — the three starter Pokemon that players will choose as their first partners — have been revealed.
Sprigatito
- Category: Grass Cat Pokemon
- Type: Grass
- Height: 1’4″
- Weight: 9 lbs.
- Ability: Overgrow
Join and seek attention, it can sulk if it sees its Trainer paying attention to a Pokemon other than itself.
As the Sprigatito kneads and rubs with its forelegs, a sweet aroma is released that can mesmerize those around. This fragrance has therapeutic properties and makes the opponent lose the will to fight. Its fine coat composition is similar to that of a plant, allowing it to generate energy by absorbing sunlight. It adds moisture to the coat by self-grooming, supporting photosynthesis.
Fuecoco
- Category: Fire Croc Pokemon
- Type: Fire
- Height: 1’4″
- Weight: 21.6 lbs.
- Ability: Blaze
Fuecoco is relaxed and does everything at its own pace. It loves to eat, and it will sprint towards any food it finds with a glint in its eye.
The external heat is absorbed by the square scales on Fuecoco's belly and back, and then converted into fire energy. These flakes are always warm, and they can also sometimes grow very hot. Flashing above Fuecoco's head is fire energy leaking out from within the Pokemon's body. When Fuecoco gets excited, Fuecoco's head explodes with more flames.
Quaxly
- Category: Duckling Pokemon
- Type: Water
- Height: 1’8″
- Weight: 13.4 lbs.
- Ability: Torrent
This serious Pokemon will follow in its Trainer awakening. Quaxly is very neat, and it especially doesn't like to get its head dirty.
Its body is always shiny because the gel secreted by the hair repels water and dirt. The top layer of scalp is re-polished using a moisture-rich cream, and it becomes shiny when dry. It has strong legs and can swim without difficulty even in places with strong currents. In battle, it kicks opponents quickly and continuously.
