The Pokemon Company and developer Game Freak have released new trailers, information and images for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, showcasing the Paldea Region, story, Terastal phenomenon, Tera Raid Battles...
Details are as follows:
Vibrant landscapes and lively towns weave into the Paldea Region
Your adventure takes place in the Paldea region, a land of vast open spaces dotted with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands and craggy mountain ranges. Along the way, all kinds of Trainers will adventure and hone their skills with Pokemon battles.
You can find a lot of people and Pokemon living together in a variety of locations, from a farming village with a bountiful harvest to a port town with a bustling market.
There are also Pokemon that live in treetops, rivers, and all sorts of other places in the wilderness — and they're all just waiting to meet you.
Your adventure companion, Rotom Phone
A must-have for traveling in the Paldea region, the Rotom Phone has a number of apps and features that will come in handy during your adventures. This time, Pokedex will be loaded on Rotom Phone as an app. Your map will also be an app on the Rotom Phone. You will be able to see a map of the entire Paldea area in the map app, which will display your current location natively. You'll also see all sorts of information, like nearby towns, Pokemon Center, and wild Pokemon.
Pokemon Trainers Headquarters - Outdoor Pokemon Center
Adventures in the great Paldea region won't be a walk in the park. To fight Pokemon Trainer and catch wild Pokemon, you'll need to give your Pokemon a break and get Poke Balls to catch more Pokemon.
To support Pokemon Trainers, there are many outdoor Pokemon Centers scattered throughout the Paldea region. Trainers can easily find Pokemon Centers even from a distance — Pokemon Centers light up at night and each Pokemon Center has a Poke Ball sign on the roof.
Depending on the version of the game you have, the Pokemon that appear will be different
There are several differences between Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, and one of those differences is the species of Pokemon that appear. For example, Larvitar and Stonjourner appear in Pokemon Scarlet, while Bagon and Eiscue appear in Pokemon Violet.
The story unfolds the way you want
Take 3 big stories into your adventure as you meet Pokemon you've never seen and unique characters. These titles have Pokemon stories that highlight going to the Gym and aiming to become a Champion, but there is no set path, so you can go to any Gym you want to challenge in the order you want. would like.
Moreover, there are 2 other big stories besides your pursuit to become Champion, and many challenges and hardships await you in those stories. Please watch to see what genres they are.
Moreover, you can freely go back and forth between all 3 stories, allowing your adventure to develop however you want. Some may want to reach Champion rank and rush through Gyms, while others may want to adventure in their spare time — sometimes looking for Pokemon or meeting all sorts of people. Everyone can experience the game the way they want. Being able to create your own story is one of the highlights of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
Aim for Champion Rank!
The Paldea region has a Pokemon Alliance and a special class of professional level Pokemon Trainers who have achieved Champion Rank. These Trainers have evolved with their Pokemon to be able to wow audiences with their skills in battle.
There are facilities called Pokemon Gyms in many towns, and the heads of these Gyms await the challenge of Trainers like you and your friends.
There is no link to the Gym. You may be on purpose in search of a stronger Gym Leader, or you may simply stop by a Gym that happens to be located in a town that you have passed through on your journey. This time, you can chart your own path along Victory Road.
If you defeat all 8 Gyms spread throughout the area and collect Gym Badges, you will be able to take part in a special test called Champion Assessment. If you pass the assessment successfully, your strength will be recognized and you will be ranked Champion, making you the object of admiration from other Trainers.
Polish your skills with a variety of Pokemon and Trainers, and aim for the glorious Champion Rank!
Gym Leader of Gym Glaseado, Grusha
Grusha used to be a professional skier, but he is now a full-time Gym Leader of Gym Glaseado. He is an Ice type expert who has Cetitan as his teammate. He is usually very cold, but when battles get hot, he begins to show emotions that he normally hides.
The oldest school in Region Paldea
At Naranja Academy and Uva Academy, you can meet new people, new Pokemon — and a new friend
In the center of Paldea is the largest city in the region, Mesagoza. Here you'll find a school that boasts a history few other schools have, where people from all over the world come to hone their skills against one another, be it through academics or Pokemon battles.
Age isn't an issue in enrolling here, so many age groups — from kids to adults — take the same classes, most of which involve Pokemon. Looks like there are a few classes that you can take with Pokemon.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the school name, emblem, school uniform, and other details will vary depending on the version of the game you are playing.
Start from school for a big adventure! Special independent research project, Treasure Hunt
As the main character, you will enroll in the academy. Of course, you will not be alone in this school. You'll also have friends with whom you can sharpen your skills—like Nemona, Arven, and Penny—in addition to unique teachers who will teach you what they know about combat, Pokemon biology, and more.
This academy is also where the Director Clavell will give you and your friends an independent research mission, the Treasure Hunt. Where will you go? Who will you meet? What will you achieve? Embark on a journey across Paldea to gain new experiences, meet new people and find your own treasure.
The people at the academy
Along with the Director Clavell, there are many other members of the faculty at the academy.
- Clavel

- Jacq
Mr. Jacq is your homeroom teacher, and your biology teacher. He is very knowledgeable about Pokemon biology and is the developer of the Pokedex app for Rotom Phone. He has a slightly disdainful side to him, and he sometimes loses himself in research.
Friends of the main character
- Arven
Arven is an upperclassman at the academy. He's good at cooking and is working on healthy recipes that can help Pokemon feel better. He will ask you to help him, as he is not good at Pokemon battles.
- Penny
Penny is in the same class as you. She has a bit of a shy personality, and for some reason, she doesn't seem to go to the academy very often. She especially loves her soft Eevee bag and wears it on her back all the time.
Look the way you want when you explore the Paldea region

In addition, you can collect a variety of accessories from the stores. Wear your favorite pieces and try on different styles along the way in your adventure!
Pokemon Shine and Sparkle Like Gems thanks to Terastal Phenomenon
What is Terastal phenomenon?
This phenomenon is only found in the Paldea region and makes Pokemon shine and sparkle like jewels.
When a Pokemon Terastallizes, a Tera Jewel appears on the Pokemon's head like a crown and the Pokemon's body sparkles like a cut gem.
It is said that the Terastal energy seeping from the ground of the Paldea region is related to this phenomenon.
Many details are still unclear, but Professor Sada and Professor Turo are working on this mystery.
- The Tera Gems and the shine on the Pokemon's body vary by type.
- All Pokemon called home of the Paldea region can Terastallize.
Master Terastallizing and dominate Pokemon battles!
Terastallizing holds the key to victory or defeat in the battles of the Paldea region.
All Pokemon in Paldea can be Terastallize to gain special powers.
First, each Pokemon has a Tera Type. A Pokemon's Tera Type becomes inactive until the Pokemon Terastallizing, at which point the Pokemon's type will change to its Tera Type.
For example, some Eevees will have a Normal Tera Type, while others will have a Bay Tera Type.
There are 18 types, which means there are countless combinations of Pokemon and Tera types.
Terastallizing Pokemon allows you to enhance your battle strategy by increasing the power of any move that is of the same type as the Pokemon's Tera Type, or by changing the Pokemon's weakness.
When to activate this special transformation and the combination of Pokemon and Tera types you choose to use is up to you.
Find what works best for you to gain the upper hand in battle!
- You can Terastallize Pokemon once per battle and the transformation will last until the battle is over.
- When a Terastallize Pokemon uses a move that matches its Tera Type and at least one of its original types, the power of that move increases even more!
You will need a Tera orb to Terastallize a Pokemon
Only Trainers selected in the Paldea area are allowed to carry this special item.
When you Terastallize a Pokemon, your Tera Orb will lose all of its Terastal energy and you will not be able to use it again until it is recharged. You can charge your Tera Orb if you tap the Terastal energetic crystals or go to the Pokemon Center.
- Only Trainers selected in the Paldea region are allowed to carry Tera Orb.
