Battle System: Classic Mode

Classic Mode can be activated by selecting "Classic" from the menu. In Classic Mode, team members will automatically take action when the ATB bar is filled. In this mode, players only need to use their ATB bar to select abilities, magic, and items. This brings a closer feel to menu-based matches from the original Final Fantasy VII but with the awesome immersive graphics of the remake version. It is also possible to return to the live control anytime in Classic Mode by pressing the buttons on the control.

Battle System: Cloud

Cloud can "Attack" with his sword at close range with the Square button and create combo attacks by repeatedly pressing Square. By holding Square, Cloud can unleash a radial attack.

Unique Ability

The Triangle button activates each character's unique ability. Cloud's ability is the transition between different fighting styles. He can switch between "Operator Mode", a balance between attack and defense, and "Punisher Mode", the total attack mode. In "Punisher Mode", Cloud's movement speed is reduced, but his basic Square button attacks are upgraded to more powerful attacks.

- Operator Mode: “Attack.”

- Punisher Mode: “Strong Attack.”

Abilities

Cloud slashes the surrounding enemy with three successive attacks. Its power increased by hitting many enemies.

- Blade Burst

Cloud will create a magic stream from his blade during a long-range attack.

Each weapon has its own unique ability that increases the level when they are used heavily. When the level reaches the maximum, that ability will be learned by the user and can be used on any weapon.

Materia

Materia allows you to use fire attribute magic, such as Fire. It evolved from "Fire" to "Fira", finally to "Firaga".

Materia allows you to use the "Assess" ability. When you use Assessments on enemies, you can see their stats and weaknesses, making it easier to defeat them in battle.

Summons

While equipped with Summon Material, you can summon a powerful ally once the special summon gauge fills up. Summons will fight alongside you automatically on the battlefield, but you can also use your own ATB bar to perform special skills. Just before they leave the battle, your allies will launch a powerful special move!

Chocobo & Moogle

- Ability: “Mog Bomb.”

- Ability: “Stampede.”

Chocobo & Moogle use their special technique, Stamp Stampede to defeat enemies with a herd of chocobos.

Locations

The locations from Final Fantasy VII have been faithfully recreated with high quality images. Some undiscovered locations in the original version have also been added.

Church in the Slums

The old church is at the edge of the Sector 5 Slum. This building is old and houses a test rocket dropped by Shinra. One of the few places where flowers grow in the dilapidated slum, Aerith looks after the garden there in her spare time.

Aerith’s House

A house is located in a corner of the Slum in Sector 5. Aerith and Elmyra's mother live there. They grow a variety of colorful flowers in their garden and every day, Aerith takes them to the residents of Midgar. The clear water flowing down from the cliff behind the house, along with the loveliness of the house itself, creates an unparalleled landscape of the slum.
