Square Enix announced the postponement of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition release date for Sony PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android devices from January 23, 2020 to summer 2020.

In Japan, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and Switch for 4,800 yen, for iOS via the App Store and Android through Google Play for 2,800 yen. Versions for iOS and Android can be downloaded and played for free to a limited extent.

New features in Remastered Edition include:

  • Online play mode consists of up to four players.
  • Can play on different platforms through cross-play function.
  • Transfer save data on platforms with cross-progressive functionality.
  • Add new challenge post-game dungeons and bosses.
  • Add new character skins for each tribe.
  • Add new items to equip.
  • New theme songs include "Kaz Kaze no Ne" and "Hoshizukiyo" by Yae.
  • Voice of new characters.

A long time ago, a huge meteorite fell to the ground, and deadly gas filled the world. Crystals has kept poisonous gas under control, but Crystals' power is weakening. Young adventurers set out on a journey to search for "drops of myrrh" to save the Crystals. The game is an adventure for brave young adventurers who are on the journey to protect their home. That's called "Crystal Chronicles".
