Introduce

Top Gear 2 (released as Top Racer 2 in Japan) is a sequel to Top Gear riders in 1992. First released in August 1993 for SNES, May 24, 1994 for Sega Genesis and 1994 for Amiga. It was developed by Gremlin Interactive and published by Kemco for SNES and Vic Tokai for Genesis. Although more realistic than its predecessor, Top Gear 2 maintains the arcade-style gameplay that this series is known for.

For the sequel, Top Gear 2 is like the original, Gremlin used graphics and gameplay remake of the Lotus racing trio. However, this game becomes more realistic, with damage diagrams on the left side of the screen, slower cars and the ability to upgrade the machine. The cars become harder to control and the opponents are faster and tougher than in the previous game. The addition of weather plays a role, forcing the player to change from dry tire to wet tire.
