Introduce
Contra Force is an action shooting game released by Konami for Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992 in North America. It is a spinoff of the Contra series, being the third game in the series to be released for NES after the original Contra and Super Contra. However, the plot and context of the game is unrelated to both previous and successful entries, as the villains in the game are terrorists who instead of alien threats. The game was planned to be released in Japan under the title Arc Hound (ア ー ク ハ, Āku Haundo), with no relation to the Contra franchise, but was canceled.
The Contra Force begins with the player being asked to choose between one of the four characters. In addition to Burns, the leader of the team, players can also choose between Iron, a heavy weapons expert; Smith, an astute player; and Beans, a demolition expert.
