Publisher XSEED Games, Marvelous Europe and MAGES developer Team GrisGris has announced Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion will launch for Sony PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Fall 2024 worldwide.
In North America, the $49.99 standard physical edition and the $79.99 “Ayame's Mercy” edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and Switch. The latter includes a copy of Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion with reversible cover, a blue “Save Yourself” LED candle styled after in-game save points, an art book 64 pages filled with behind-the-scenes content, an “ Ayame's Mercy Lenticular Art Card ,” an “evidence kit” containing items from the game, and an Amare Est Vivere “Medical Kit” metal cover. This limited edition will soon be available for pre-order through the XSEED Games Store and at retailers.

Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion follows three high school friends; Haruka Nanami, Nemu Takanashi and Maria Hitsugi as they explore Amare Est Vivere Hospital, testing a local urban legend as streamer Nemu looks to increase his subscriber count. Unfortunately for the three girls, the legend of “Ayame’s Mercy” is true, and they unleashed a decades-long curse that sent them into a realm of darkness. Together they must avoid the vengeful spirit of Ayame Kirishima and other horrors from the hospital's dark past as they seek to lift Ayame's curse once and for all.
